A physical handheld remote for Gledopto WLED controllers. Provides dedicated on/off, brightness, four scene preset buttons, and a night light mode, all without opening the WLED app or using a voice assistant. It talks to the controller directly using ESP-NOW, the wireless remote feature built into WLED.
This is not a Gledopto 2.4GHz RF remote and not a Zigbee remote. It uses ESP-NOW over the controller's WiFi radio, device to device, so it needs no hub, router or cloud service. Pair it once: in WLED open Config, then WiFi Setup, enable the wireless remote, press a button on the remote and copy its MAC address from Last Seen into the Hardware MAC field. WLED 0.14.0-beta3 or later is required. Up to 50m range with anti-interference performance suited to dense residential WiFi environments.
Compatible with Gledopto WLED controllers only: GL-C-010WL, GL-C-015WL, GL-C-015WL-D, GL-C-016WL-D. It is not compatible with Zigbee controllers (GL-C-201P, GL-C-002P). Gledopto supports it on its own WLED products only.

Scene preset buttons map to WLED presets by number. Configure your preferred effects, palettes, and colours as presets in the WLED interface, then assign them to preset slots 1–4.
Compatibility
The GL-RC-001WL is designed for Gledopto's own WLED product line. It uses ESP-NOW, the wireless remote feature built into WLED. Gledopto states that it works only with Gledopto WLED products; we have not tested it on other WLED hardware.

FAQ
Does this work with my Zigbee controller?
No. The GL-RC-001WL uses ESP-NOW over WiFi and works with Gledopto WLED products. It will not control the GL-C-201P, GL-C-002P, or any other Zigbee device. For physical control of a Zigbee controller, pair a Gledopto 2.4GHz RF remote directly to the Zigbee controller using the RF pairing button.
Do I need a hub?
No. The remote communicates directly with the WLED controller using ESP-NOW. No Zigbee hub, no bridge, no router and no cloud service is required.
What batteries does it take?
2× AAA batteries, not included. 3V DC operating voltage. Standard alkaline AAA cells are sufficient, rechargeable AAA cells also work at their rated voltage (typically 1.2V each = 2.4V combined, which may reduce range slightly).
Can I assign my own effects to the four scene buttons?
Yes. The four scene buttons trigger WLED preset slots 1–4. In the WLED interface, save any effect, palette, colour, and brightness configuration as a preset numbered 1 through 4. The corresponding button on the remote will activate it instantly.
